Nineteenth-century church on corso Vittorio Emanuele, born as the chapel of an old people's home; the first church in Naples run by lay people.

Along corso Vittorio Emanuele, near Santa Maria Apparente, the church of the Cenacolo is among the most interesting 19th-century churches in Naples. It was originally the chapel of a home for the elderly, later enlarged, above all at the front. The exterior is entirely in tuff, with four Ionic supports before the entrance; the rectangular interior is adorned with bas-reliefs, especially on the high altar. A curiosity: it was the first church in the city run entirely by lay people.
