Vomero church attached to the Masseria dell'Architiello, founded in 1754 and remodelled in neoclassical style in 1869.

In the Vomero, beside the Masseria dell'Architiello, stands a church that recalls the days when the hill was countryside. It was founded in 1754 by Don Giacomo Catucci and dedicated to Saint James. In 1829 it was enlarged and took the name Santa Maria ab arcu: legend tells of the discovery, beneath a nearby arch, of a statue of the Virgin in wood and papier-mâché. Its present neoclassical appearance dates from 1869.
