Church of the Teresian nuns in Chiaia, built in 1746–1747 along the slope known as "l'Imbrecciata".

In Chiaia, along the calata San Francesco that Neapolitans call "l'Imbrecciata", stands the church of Santi Giovanni e Teresa. It was built in 1746 by the noble Teresian nuns, who left the convent of Pontecorvo to live here in enclosure. The work was completed in 1747, sped up partly by the intervention of King Charles III of Bourbon. The slope has always linked the hill to the seafront.
