Church on piazza Ottocalli that gave its name to the San Giovanniello district, linked to an old farmers' devotion for good weather.

On piazza Ottocalli, on the road climbing towards Capodichino, the church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo gave its name to the San Giovanniello district. The devotion is ancient: in this area of market gardens, tradition says that in front of the old church stood a marble column to which farmers and growers went in procession to pray for good weather. The two saints were considered protectors against storms.
