Church of 1852 opposite Porta Nolana, designed by Luigi Giura; successor to the church of the college of physicians.

In piazza Nolana, opposite the ancient Porta Nolana and near the fish market, stands the church of Santi Cosma e Damiano. The first church was built in 1611 by the college of Neapolitan physicians, whose patrons were the two saints, but it was demolished in the 19th century to widen the street. The present church was designed in 1852 by Luigi Giura, in neo-Romanesque and neo-Renaissance forms. Inside are five Baroque canvases, one from the old church and four lent by the Real Museo Borbonico.
