An ancient church at the start of the upper decumanus, of Constantinian tradition, with a majolica floor from 1754.

On Via Santa Sofia, at the start of the upper decumanus, stands a church that many sources say was founded by the Emperor Constantine in the early 4th century. From 1487 it was the seat of a confraternity that took care of burying the poor. After the 1980 earthquake the works of art, including paintings by Fabrizio Santafede and Marco Pino, were moved elsewhere. Inside, the beautiful majolica floor from 1754 remains.
