Monastic complex on salita Pontecorvo, built into the viceregal walls; now a school.

On salita Pontecorvo, above via Toledo, stands the complex of Santa Maria Maddalena alle Cappuccinelle. Its origins are uncertain: scholars suggest dates between 1580 and the early 18th century. Its present appearance comes from 18th-century works that incorporated an old palazzo and the bastions of the viceregal walls. In the 20th century it became a school, a role it still has today: we can observe its imposing structure from the slope.
