A church in the Pendino founded in 1314 by Bartolomeo di Capua for the monks of Montevergine, rebuilt in the 16th century.

In the Pendino district, near the university, stands Santa Maria di Monteverginella, founded in 1314 by Bartolomeo di Capua, protonotary of King Robert of Anjou, who had his residence here. The name recalls its link with the sanctuary of Montevergine. The nave of the new church was completed in 1588. On the left you can also enter the oratory of the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception.
