A church founded in 1658 next to a votive shrine and enlarged in the mid-19th century, with a dome frescoed in 1962.

The Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli dates back to 1658, when local residents decided to build a proper place of worship next to a votive shrine. It was renovated and enlarged between 1849 and 1854, thanks to the efforts of two priests and the local people. The interior has a Latin-cross plan: after the 1980 earthquake, restoration brought traces of frescoes back to light. We recommend looking up at the dome over the presbytery, painted in 1962 by Vincenzo Sorrentino.
