National church of the German-speaking community, opened in 1900 in the Rione Amedeo, with 18th-century altars and works by Martin Knoller.

In the Rione Amedeo, on via del Parco Margherita, stands the national church of the German-speaking Catholic community of Naples. It was opened in 1900 to replace the old Santa Maria dell'Anima, demolished during the Risanamento.Many treasures of the old church were saved and brought here: the carved marble 18th-century altars and works by the Austrian painter Martin Knoller. A piece of European history in the elegant heart of Chiaia.
