Small church on the little harbour of Marechiaro, recorded as early as the 13th century and restored by Ferdinando Sanfelice; it holds Roman sarcophagi.

Let's head down to Marechiaro, in Posillipo: on the little harbour stands the church of Santa Maria del Faro, already recorded in the 13th century. Tradition says the ancient Roman lighthouse stood here.In the 18th century it was restored to a design by Ferdinando Sanfelice. The single-nave Baroque interior reuses ancient elements: two Roman sarcophagi and remains from the nearby villa of Pausilypon. An intimate place, perfect to combine with a walk by the sea.
