A small church of 16th-century origin renovated in 1773, with a small circular hall covered by a dome.

Hidden in an alley that bears its name, the church of Santa Maria dei Lanzati was probably founded in the 16th century by the Lanzati family, who lived in this area. It is one of those little surprises we like to find while strolling unhurriedly through the streets of Naples. Its present appearance is due to the rebuilding of 1773, promoted by Nicola Maria d'Ajello, president of the Regia Camera della Sommaria, as a plaque in the sacristy records. Past the façade, perhaps from the 19th century, we suggest looking up in the small circular hall covered by a dome.
