Franciscan church of 1581 near the Botanical Garden, renovated by Cosimo Fanzago; façade in white and grey marble.

On via Veterinaria, near the Botanical Garden, stands Santa Maria degli Angeli alle Croci, among the most beautiful Baroque churches in Naples. The name recalls the Way of the Cross the Franciscans walked along the nearby slope.Built in 1581 with the convent, it was later renovated by Cosimo Fanzago, who also made sculptures and probably the two angels on the white and grey marble façade. In the atrium we notice the granite columns from San Giorgio Maggiore.
