Baroque church that gave its name to the Avvocata district, at the end of the street of the same name near piazza Dante.

At the end of via Avvocata, a few steps from piazza Dante, stands the church that gave its name to the whole district. It was born in the 16th century when the Carmelite Father Alessandro Mollo built a church with a small convent.Cardinal Alfonso Gesualdo then bought the complex and made it a parish. Remodelled in the following centuries, it has taken its full place among the city's Baroque churches, as its façade shows.
