A church from 1297 linked to the enclosed convent of the Poor Clares, with three naves on reused columns, stucco and grilles for the nuns.

Founded in 1297 together with the enclosed convent of the Poor Clares, this church opens with an arcaded portico and has a three-nave interior separated by round arches on reused columns. The central nave has a barrel vault, the side ones cross vaults, and all are enriched with stucco. We are struck by the grilles high up, from which the nuns follow the services without being seen.On the marble high altar a canvas shows the Assumption with Saint Frances and Saint Clare, while in the apse of the left nave awaits a 1297 fresco of Christ Blessing, above a case holding a statue of the dead Christ. We recommend looking for the small confessional carved into the wall, linked to the memory of Blessed Bonaventura.
