Porto district church dedicated to Saint Onuphrius and the "old men" of a nearby hospice, partly built into a Risanamento palazzo.

In piazzetta Sant'Onofrio dei Vecchi, in the Porto district, is a church with a side entrance from a building on corso Umberto I. It grew from a chapel dedicated to the Madonna del Carmine, where a much-venerated statue of Saint Onuphrius was placed in 1606.The name also recalls the "vecchi" (old men) of a large hospice for the elderly nearby. During the Risanamento the church was partly absorbed into the new buildings, and 19th-century restorations changed its medieval appearance.
