A church of Swabian origin linked to the key-makers' guild, with a star-patterned stucco dome attributed to Domenico Antonio Vaccaro.

The church, also called the Salvatoriello, was founded in the Swabian period and owes its dedication to Saint Eligius to the guilds based here: first the sword-makers, then the chiavettieri, the craftsmen who made keys. From 1624 it became the seat of a confraternity dedicated to the Saviour and to Santa Maria Mater Dei.The façade is plain, with two pilasters around the portal and an oculus holding a statue of the Redeemer. The single-nave interior, instead, is rich in stucco, culminating in the dome with a star pattern supported by caryatid angels, attributed to Domenico Antonio Vaccaro around 1716. The church is closed: it can be admired from outside.
