Church of medieval origin on corso Lucci, in the once marshy area outside the walls; built by the market gardeners' guild.

On corso Arnaldo Lucci, in the Mercato district, the name of this church recalls the marshes that once surrounded the city outside the walls, before the Angevin drainage works. It was built before 1350 by the guild of market gardeners who farmed this land. Few traces of the medieval building survive, but the church tells the story of an area that remained agricultural until the 19th century, now known as the Case Nuove.
