Neoclassical church on via del Trivio, opened in 1864 and designed by the architect Filippo Botta.

In the Vicaria district, on via del Trivio, lies hidden a little-known but very elegant neoclassical church. The name "Trivio" does not refer to a crossroads: it is said to come from the nickname Neapolitans gave the French marshal Lautrec, who besieged the city in 1528.The church was designed by the architect Filippo Botta and opened in 1864. Inside, Botta himself reused a 16th-century sarcophagus for his wife's tomb, with her portrait carved on it: a touching detail to look out for.
