Pompeian-red neoclassical temple of 1841 opposite the arches of the Roman aqueduct at Ponti Rossi.

Where via Ponti Rossi meets via Santa Maria dei Monti, a small circular temple in Pompeian red catches the eye: this is the church of San Tarcisio, built in 1841 to a design by Leonardo Laghezza. Its two-column portico faces the very arches of the Roman aqueduct of Ponti Rossi. Inside, a canvas of the Madonna delle Grazie and a wooden statue of the saint, patron of altar servers. Two monuments, two eras, at a single glance.
