Fifteenth-century church on via Sedile di Porto, enlarged in the 16th century; now closed and in poor condition.

On via Sedile di Porto, near via Mezzocannone, stands San Pietro in Vinculis. Born in the 15th century, it owes its appearance to the enlargement commissioned in the following century by the grammarian Giovanni Lucio Scoppa, who also opened a school for the poor here.Inside there were stucco, marble altars and frescoes by Giuseppe Fattorusso and Crescenzo Gamba. Today the church has been closed for a long time and is in poor condition: we can only see it from outside, remembering that this heritage too needs care.
