Church of 1749 commissioned by Charles of Bourbon and Maria Amalia to thank Saint Paschal for the birth of an heir.

On the square of the same name, in Chiaia, the church and convent of San Pasquale were built in 1749 at the wish of King Charles of Bourbon and Queen Maria Amalia, devotees of the saint, to thank him for the birth of a male heir. The designer is a curiosity: the architect Antonio Borbone, of Indian origin, whose godfather at baptism was the king himself, from whom he took his surname. The work was directed by Giuseppe Pollio.
