Baroque church on the Riviera di Chiaia, born as a Jesuit house and enlarged in the 17th century; it holds canvases by Luca Giordano.

Overlooking the Riviera di Chiaia, opposite the Villa Comunale, the church of San Giuseppe began as the chapel of a Jesuit house, later a novitiate. It was enlarged between 1666 and 1673; after the expulsion of the Jesuits it became a nautical school and, from 1817, a home for the blind. The interior is a small gallery of Neapolitan Baroque: three canvases by Luca Giordano with Jesuit saints, and works by Nicola Malinconico, Giacomo Farelli and Francesco Di Maria. A pleasant stop during a stroll along the seafront.
