Neo-Romanesque Vomero church built between 1892 and 1894 with a convent and cloister; stained glass and canvases by a friar painter.

In the Vomero, the church, convent and cloister of San Francesco d'Assisi were built between 1892 and 1894, under the direction of a German friar. The neo-Romanesque façade is recognisable by its two small pinnacled bell towers, its triple window and the large doorway with a lunette.Inside, the tall nave with cross vaults is lit by stained-glass windows; the six side chapels have altars with paintings by the friar painter Andrea Beer. A quiet corner in the hilltop district.
