Small church in Chiaia, on via Arco Mirelli, built beside a Benedictine monastery and home to two canvases by Nicola Malinconico.

We climb via Arco Mirelli, in the heart of Chiaia, and find an intimate church, probably built in the 16th century next to a small Benedictine monastery. Tradition says the monks used it as a place of rest, convinced that the local air calmed the soul.Over the centuries it received Baroque touches, while the exterior has a 19th-century look; a recent restoration has made it like new. Inside we recommend looking for the two canvases by Nicola Malinconico: a Crucifixion and a Madonna and Child with Benedictine saints.
