Chapel overlooking the cloister of San Gregorio Armeno, the only survivor of the medieval church, dedicated to the Madonna Hodegetria.

In the beautiful cloister of San Gregorio Armeno, among citrus trees and fountains, stands the chapel of the Madonna dell'Idra. The name comes from "Hodegetria", the Byzantine Madonna who shows the way.It was one of the chapels of the medieval church that stood at the centre of the monastery, demolished during works begun in 1572. The chapel was rebuilt within the complex's new layout. A stop not to be missed when visiting the cloister.
