Pollica's oldest chapel, from 1524, now deconsecrated, with a small 16th-century dome and a polychrome marble altar.

Below the convent, where the town gates once opened, stands the Chapel of San Pietro, the oldest in Pollica, built in 1524. Today it is deconsecrated, but for centuries it was a public oratory under the patronage of a local family, whose marble coat of arms remains on the façade. From the outside we recommend noticing the small 16th-century dome above the presbytery. Inside, in the single nave, a polychrome marble altar and a stone holy-water stoup are preserved. We like discovering this small building that tells the story of the old entrance to the village.
