17th-century family chapel, rebuilt in 1639, linked to the town's Monte di Pietà and grain bank.

On Via Indipendenza stands the last family chapel in Caselle in Pittari still in private hands. It was rebuilt in 1639 on the ruins of an older chapel, with the permission of the Bishop of Policastro Pietro Magri, and is dedicated to St John the Baptist. In 1641 the Monte di Pietà, created to help the poor and sick, was linked to it, and from it later came the Monte Frumentario (grain bank), which in the 19th century supported farmers in years of famine. Inside there remain two paintings, some frescoes and a funerary inscription from 1740. We like it as a small sign of the solidarity of the past; it is admired mainly from the outside.
