Caselle in Pittari shows the most hidden face of the Cilento National Park: gorges, dolines, sinkholes and caves shaped by karst, which have sometimes sheltered very ancient settlements. The Mu.V.I. stands on the edge of a picnic area, among small valleys where a great many species of wild orchids grow.The museum brings caving environments normally reserved for experts to everyone, including those with reduced mobility. Multitouch tables, holographic screens, interactive kiosks and an immersive box explain how caves form and how they live. We recommend visiting with children: it's a fun way to understand Cilento's underground landscape.
