Medieval stronghold on a hill at 500 metres with a crenellated tower, the frescoed church of Santa Lucia and the ruins of a fortified village.

On the hill on the border between Raviscanina and Sant'Angelo d'Alife, at about 500 metres, stands this fortified complex divided between the summit and the village on the slopes. At the top rises the lordly stronghold with a massive three-level square tower, with a battered base and merlons, next to a cistern and other rooms enclosed by a first trapezoidal wall.A second wall encloses the church of Santa Lucia, whose apse sits in a semicircular tower and preserves remains of 12th–13th-century frescoes. Along the slope lie the ruins of some forty houses, protected by towers. We recommend climbing up here for the view and the atmosphere.
