The castle stands in the old village of Somma Vesuviana, on the slopes of Monte Somma. It is linked to the name of Lucrezia d'Alagno, the noblewoman loved by King Alfonso V of Aragon in the 15th century.Over the centuries the building was transformed into a noble residence. It can be seen as you stroll through the historic centre of Somma.
