Next to the high altar of San Giovanni a Carbonara, the Caracciolo di Vico chapel, commissioned in 1514 by Galeazzo Caracciolo, is considered one of the most important 16th-century buildings in southern Italy. Its circular plan, inspired by Roman models, houses works by the finest Renaissance sculptors active in Naples.
