Renaissance chapel in San Giovanni a Carbonara commissioned in 1427 by Sergianni Caracciolo, with his funerary monument and a majolica floor.

Inside San Giovanni a Carbonara, behind the high altar, lies the Caracciolo del Sole chapel, commissioned in 1427 by Sergianni Caracciolo, grand seneschal of the kingdom and favourite of Queen Joanna II, who was murdered in 1432 in a plot at Castel Capuano. His son Troiano had his great funerary monument made. Let's also look for the 15th-century frescoes on the walls and the majolica floor: one of the most evocative spaces in the church.
