Church in the rione Alto that grew from a chapel of 1572 and was rebuilt in the 1970s by Alberto Izzo.

The name Cappella Cangiani comes from the Cangiano family, who in 1572 founded a small chapel here with an image of the Madonna di Costantinopoli believed to be miraculous. In the 19th century a larger church replaced it.The building we see today is modern: it was built by the architect Alberto Izzo between 1969 and 1974, when the rione Alto was growing rapidly, and consecrated in 1976. We recommend going in to see the fine wooden Crucifix kept there.
