In the Agnano crater, very ancient remains by the hot springs and a Roman bath complex commissioned by Emperor Hadrian.

Not far from the centre of Naples, set in the greenery of the Agnano crater, the baths lie in an area where the hot springs have been used since very ancient times. Near the springs are remains of Greek origin, among the oldest evidence in the whole Phlegraean area.Thermal activity reached its peak between the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, when Emperor Hadrian had a large complex built. Today the site is closed to the public: we still like to remember it as a piece of the history of the Campi Flegrei, while we wait to be able to visit it.
