Path of the Gods

The Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei) links the hamlet of Bomerano, in Agerola, with Nocelle, above Positano, running along the hillside at the foot of Monte Sant'Angelo a Tre Pizzi. The name comes from a legend: it is said that the gods, honoured in Roman times in the temples of the area, loved to stroll along this very ridge overlooking the sea. We find it a more than deserved name.The trail crosses Mediterranean scrub, among aromatic herbs dear to local cooking and rich wildlife, with foxes, weasels, hedgehogs, peregrine falcons and owls. It is part of the CAI network of the Monti Lattari and offers several variants, for example from Nocelle or from Praiano. We recommend suitable shoes and plenty of time to stop and look.
