A 19th-century palace restored after the 1980 earthquake and turned into a museum, with remains of the co-cathedral of San Gaetano.

In the centre of Santomenna stands Palazzo De Ruggieri, a 19th-century building badly hit by the 1980 earthquake. After restoration it found a new life as a museum space, becoming a place where the village's memory is kept and told to visitors.Inside, we recommend spending time on the documents, paintings and sacred objects, as well as several architectural elements of some interest. Among these we are particularly struck by the fragments of the co-cathedral of San Gaetano da Thiene, which collapsed in the earthquake: a moving testimony to what the village lost and managed to preserve.
