In the old Clock Tower of Ischia Ponte, a museum devoted to the culture of the sea and the island's seafaring history.

The Museo del Mare is in Ischia Ponte, in the old Borgo di Celsa, inside the Clock Tower, the oldest and most prestigious of the town-owned buildings. We like that such a history-laden building was chosen to tell the bond between the island and the sea.Opened in 1996, the museum is devoted to everything related to maritime culture and traces the history of Ischia's seafaring, made up of voyages, fishing and work at sea. We recommend visiting it during a stroll in Ischia Ponte, perhaps before crossing the bridge to the Aragonese castle.
