The villa near Porta Marina, with a large frescoed hall that once overlooked the sea.
The Imperial Villa lies below the city walls, near Porta Marina. It was partly destroyed already in antiquity to make way for new structures.A long portico and a large hall with refined frescoes, depicting scenes from the myth of Theseus and Ariadne, survive. It can be visited along the excavation route, when it is open.
