The Capri cave inhabited in prehistoric times, with finds from the Neolithic and the Bronze Age.

The Grotta delle Felci (Cave of the Ferns) opens on the southern side of Capri, above Marina Piccola. It was already inhabited in prehistoric times and takes its name from the ferns growing at the entrance.Excavations here found pottery and tools from the Neolithic and the Bronze Age, some of which are now kept at the Centro Caprense Ignazio Cerio.
