The Doric Temple stands in the Triangular Forum, on a spur overlooking the sea. It dates back to the 6th century BC and is the oldest sacred building in the city.Today only its base and a few architectural elements remain, but the site tells the story of Pompeii's origins, long before the arrival of the Romans.
