14th-century church in the old core of Giugliano, with a 12th-century chapel and stones brought from Liternum.
The Church of Sant'Anna stands in what was probably the oldest heart of Giugliano. It already existed in the 14th century, as did the four-storey bell tower; restoration has also brought to light a 12th-century chapel.We are intrigued by the two piperno column drums set into the corners of the bell tower, which come from the ancient Roman city of Liternum. Inside, we recommend the Circumcision by Fabrizio Santafede and the works by Pietro Negroni.
