Collegiate church of Marigliano founded by the Carafa, with the Baroque Chapel of the Protectors and stucco possibly by Vaccaro.
The collegiate church of San Vito was founded by Alberico Carafa, lord of Marigliano, and rebuilt and enlarged several times to accommodate the faithful. It has a Latin-cross plan and a nave with side chapels and polychrome marble altars.We like the Baroque Chapel of the Protectors, closed by an iron gate with gilded bronze panels depicting Saints Sebastian, Roch and Vitus. The stucco work in the nave is possibly by Vaccaro.
