Parish church of Cicerale dedicated to St George, the patron celebrated by the community in April and August.

In the heart of Cicerale, a Cilento hill village known for its chickpeas, stands the church dedicated to St George, seat of the parish and focal point of the village's religious life. The building belongs to the diocese of Vallo della Lucania and keeps alive the devotion to the knightly saint, whom the people of Cicerale have considered their protector for centuries.We suggest planning your visit for the patronal feast: St George is celebrated on 23 April and again on 19 August, with processions and community events that liven up the lanes of the centre. We like combining a stop in the church with a stroll through the village's alleys and viewpoints, from which the eye sweeps over the green hills of the Cilento hinterland.
