Palace of Prignano's last feudal lords, with four wings around a courtyard and a rare crenellated round tower; admired from the outside.

On Piazza del Plebiscito, opposite the church of San Nicola di Bari, stands the Cardone Marquis's Palace, owned by the Cardone marquises, the last feudal lords of Prignano from 1701 until the abolition of feudalism. The building is laid out in four wings around a central courtyard. We are struck by the façade, dominated by a sturdy crenellated round tower, a truly original feature not found in the other palaces of the period scattered across Cilento. The palace is private and cannot be visited: we recommend admiring it from the outside, perhaps lingering in the square.
