Marquis's palace built on the foundations of the Norman castle of Castelvetere in Val Fortore, with an 11th-century round tower.

Stretched along the ridge of a hillock, whose profile it follows, Palazzo Moscatelli is well preserved and dominates the historic village of Castelvetere in Val Fortore. It has an irregular quadrangular plan on three floors and rests on the foundations of the old Norman castle, around which the town grew.Of the original fortress an 11th-century round tower remains, which we like to spot among the lines of the palace. Construction was begun around 1650 by the Moscatelli marquises and completed around 1700; in the 19th century it became a private residence, with a neoclassical chapel by the architect Antonio Francesconi.
