The three famous rock stacks south-east of Capri: Faraglione di Terra, di Mezzo and di Fuori, home of the blue lizard.

The Faraglioni are the symbol of Capri: three rock stacks rising from the sea south-east of the island. We like admiring them from the Gardens of Augustus, which offer a view that has travelled the world. We recommend going at sunset, when the light sets the colours of the rock aglow. Each one has its own name: the first, joined to the mainland, is the Faraglione di Terra; the second, separated by the sea, is the Faraglione di Mezzo; the third, reaching out to the open sea, is the Faraglione di Fuori. The latter is famous because it is the only place where the rare blue lizard lives, a small wonder of Capri's nature.
