Franciscan convent from 1586, restored after the 1980 earthquake, with a 17th–18th century cloister and a fresco of the Last Supper.

The Franciscan convent of the Observant Fathers was founded in 1586 by Friar Pietro del Galdo: it had three dormitories with fourteen rooms and, on the ground floor, workshops, a refectory and a kitchen facing the sea. Closed in 1811, it was for a time the town hall and then passed into private hands, which altered its appearance.Almost destroyed by the 1980 earthquake, it has been restored and today houses the Town Hall and the library. We recommend looking for the 17th–18th century cloister and, in the refectory, the fresco of the Last Supper, sadly badly damaged. We also like the two chapels dedicated to Santa Maria degli Angeli and St Joseph.
