An important science museum with minerals, fossils, gems and stone tools, housed in a former 17th-century convent in Vico Equense.

Opened in 1992, the Museo Mineralogico Campano is among the most important science museums in the region for the number, variety and rarity of the specimens on display. Since 2011 it has been housed in the historic former convent of the Santissima Trinità e Paradiso, from the 17th century: we like this meeting of old architecture and scientific collections.Over time the museum has gained new sections: from 1997 the palaeontology section, with fossils from the main geological eras, from 2001 one devoted to gems and from 2003 the anthropology section, with stone tools of early humans. The route follows the classification of minerals by class: we recommend giving it all the time it deserves.
