For almost twenty years Christmas in Sorrento has gone by the name of M'Illumino d'Inverno: a programme promoted by the town council with the Fondazione Sorrento, the Pro Loco and local associations, which reached its 17th edition in 2025.
The most awaited moment is the lighting of the tree and street lights in early December. Then come the Christmas markets along Corso Italia and in the squares, a Christmas garden in the Villa Comunale overlooking the bay, nativity exhibitions, concerts and the procession of the Infant Jesus at Epiphany.
The 2026/27 programme has not been published yet. We suggest an evening stroll between Piazza Tasso and the old town, when the illuminated lanes are at their most charming.
